The Office of the Radio Apostolate

January 2006

Welcome and thanks for your visit!

In the midst of this fast-paced world of the twenty-first century, thank you for your interest in the work of the Radio Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Boston.  The Apostolate serves to assist and coordinate radio programs produced though private funds by priests and others in the Archdiocese. The Apostolate takes note of special events and projects with appropriate programming and brings to the attention of the listening public a vast array of perspectives and services in the Church of Boston via periodic interviews.

The total audience is estimated at well over 100,000 people with twenty-five separate programs being aired in the course of a week. Radio in Spanish, Italian, and Cape Verdean and Haitian Creole is supported by the Apostolate. The long standing English language programs aired on two Boston stations include periodic interviews with Archdiocesan personalities, reflections on the Sunday Scripture readings and a regular segment: "View from the Pew"

I do hope that you will continue to return to this site on the World Wide Web to check the program schedule, to access a RealAudio Stream of the latest English news from Vatican Radio and to hear Pope John Paul's weekly Sunday address.  Important new items from Archbishop Sean are made available and the Rosary is always on-line.

Keep coming back!

Sincerely,

Father Reed
